The 2025 VIP Lounge – Designed by Adẹ̀kọ́ & Co.

Each year, the VIP Lounge at Decorex becomes one of the fair’s most talked-about destinations — a space where design meets experience. For 2025, this exclusive environment is being brought to life by Adẹ̀kọ́ & Co., the independent, multidisciplinary design studio founded and led by Creative Director Tolù Adẹ̀kọ́.

Specialising in storytelling through space and materiality, Adẹ̀kọ́ & Co. approaches every project as a narrative, where colour, form, and texture are carefully chosen to evoke emotion and meaning. With a portfolio that spans hospitality, retail, and luxury interiors, Tolù’s designs balance modern sophistication with cultural depth — a reflection of his Nigerian heritage and London-based sensibility. His philosophy, centred around sustainability and longevity, ensures that beauty and purpose coexist in every detail.

Visitors to this year’s VIP Lounge can expect an environment of elevated comfort and connection. From plush seating and curated materials to intimate areas for conversation, the space has been designed to encourage pause and reflection amidst the bustle of the fair. Guests will enjoy premium refreshments, exclusive networking opportunities, and access to Decorex On-Demand recordings, along with a few thoughtful surprises reserved for VIP guests.

Earlier this year, The Fluxx sat down with Tolù Adẹ̀kọ́ for an insightful interview exploring his creative process and design philosophy — read the full feature here.

2025 Making Spaces Artisans

Haberdashery — Spring Meadow & Summer Meadow

London-based lighting atelier Haberdashery continues its exploration into the emotional and sculptural power of light with the launch of two new centrepieces, Spring Meadow and Summer Meadow, debuting exclusively at Decorex 2025. Inspired by the natural rhythms and sensory transformations of a wildflower meadow, these works translate seasonal shifts into luminous form — celebrating the interplay of water, energy, and growth through hand-blown glass and delicately sculpted metal.

Spring Meadow evokes the fragile optimism of early growth, with glinting light sources nestled among shimmering glass droplets and tapering stems — reminiscent of dew-laden buds awakening to the first warmth of spring. In contrast, Summer Meadow captures the abundance and vitality of the season’s peak, its rounded stems and hand-worked glass petals forming bountiful compositions of light, curve, and colour. Together, the two form an elegant dialogue between renewal and radiance.

True to Haberdashery’s philosophy, each Meadow piece can be adapted or reconfigured to suit its environment, allowing the design to evolve with time and place. Lightweight, modular, and engineered for longevity, the sculptures appear to float effortlessly from fine steel cables, concealing precision LED technology within their graceful frames.

With Autumn and Winter Meadow set to follow in 2026, this new series marks the next chapter in Haberdashery’s study of light as a living, emotional medium. Known for their work with Cartier, Four Seasons, and Rosewood, the studio continues to bridge art, nature, and engineering in their pursuit of timeless illumination.

Knots Rugs

Beñat Oe & Sara Bopp

Pioneers in contemporary rug design, Knots Rugs continues to blur the boundaries between art and textile with two powerful new collaborations debuting this autumn — Knots Rugs x Beñat Oe and Knots Rugs x Sara Bopp. Each collection transforms the artist’s distinctive visual language into hand-knotted masterpieces, reaffirming Knots Rugs’ reputation for innovation, artistry, and craftsmanship at the highest level.

Knots Rugs x Beñat Oe — Monochrome Masterpieces Reimagined in Textile

Marking the first collaboration between Knots Rugs and Spanish-born, London-based artist Beñat Oe, this new collection translates Oe’s emotionally charged, monochrome canvases into a tactile landscape of wool, silk, and linen. Known for his layered black-on-black paintings that explore depth, memory, and emotion, Oe brings his raw, process-driven practice into a new medium, transforming his fine art into immersive, functional works for the home.

Each rug — from the ethereal Fainted Non-Memories to the diptych It Ain’t So (Parts 1 & 2) — captures the subtle gestures, shifting tones, and textural complexity of his original works. The result is a collection that speaks not just to visual beauty, but to emotional resonance, inviting introspection through touch and texture.

This collaboration underscores Knots Rugs’ commitment to supporting artists who push creative boundaries, merging fine art and craftsmanship into pieces that are both collectable and deeply personal.

Knots Rugs x Sara Bopp — Emotion, Craft, and Creative Growth Woven into Textile

Deeply expressive and grounded in authenticity, the Knots Rugs x Sara Bopp collection represents a full-circle creative moment between the U.S.-based artist and Knots Rugs founder Bonnie Sutton. Bopp, who once represented the brand in America, now sees her own art translated into hand-knotted form — a celebration of emotion, transformation, and artistic growth.

Each of the three designs captures Bopp’s intuitive, layered approach to painting. Lilly, rendered in a serene blue palette, conveys her painterly fluidity and emotional depth, while Audrey — available in two colourways — tells a story of reinvention, created from a found artwork transformed through her own expressive mark-making.

Faithfully recreated by master artisans in Nepal using Tibetan wool and Chinese silk, these rugs channel movement, stillness, and introspection through texture. More than a design collection, it’s a reflection on emotion translated into material — a shared language between artist, maker, and viewer.

A cornerstone of British craft education, the Rycotewood Furniture Centre in Oxford has nurtured generations of makers since its founding in 1938. Established by artist and philanthropist Cecil Michaelis, the centre remains dedicated to preserving the principles of the Arts and Crafts movement through hands-on training and design excellence. From traditional joinery and marquetry to contemporary furniture making, Rycotewood continues to equip emerging artisans with the skills, creativity, and integrity that define true craftsmanship.

Drawing inspiration from the soft optimism of mid-century pastels, the collection pairs hand-crafted ceramic and semi-opaque glass shades in a spectrum of delicate hues, from gentle blush tones to the new Eggplant colourway. Each piece celebrates the studio’s signature fusion of artistry and functionality, offering both ambient warmth and practical illumination.

Handmade in Curiousa’s Derbyshire studio, every ceramic shade carries the mark of the maker, reflecting the studio’s commitment to sustainable craft. J. Adams & Co

British lighting studio J. Adams & Co unveils The House of J. Adams & Co — a conceptual space designed to explore the influence of light on materiality, atmosphere, and the rituals of daily life.

Strata Circular Two-Tier Pendant Antique Brass (Jake Curtis x Hannah Bort)- Brooke Bode

Comprising three interlinked rooms — a lounge, designer’s studio, and late-night listening bar — the installation, co-curated with stylist Hannah Bort, offers a sensory experience that traces the rhythms of living, working, and unwinding through light.

Craftsmanship and collaboration lie at the heart of the showcase, with exclusive UK previews of the Strata Circular, Apex, Talbot, and Willow collections for Spring/Summer 2025. A bespoke rug by Belgian maker Bomat anchors the stand, weaving its key tones into the design, while a custom Yes Colours palette brings a cohesive warmth to the interiors.

Matthew Lloyd Luna Table - Brooke Bode.

Debuting exclusively at Decorex, the limited-edition Luna collaboration with Nature Squared reimagines the studio’s signature light inlaid with hand-applied Capiz shell — a material sourced responsibly from by-products of small-scale Filipino fishing. Each piece pairs J. Adams & Co’s sculptural precision with Nature Squared’s intricate material artistry, celebrating sustainability and craftsmanship in equal measure.
