Today, Montesol Experimental has been lovingly reimagined for a new generation of curious travellers, thanks to an inspired redesign by Dorothée Meilichzon, the celebrated French interior designer known for her intuitive, emotion-led approach. Her vision for the hotel is a layered and tactile celebration of Ibiza’s laid-back eccentricity, infused with holistic design principles and celestial symbolism.

Each of the hotel’s 30 rooms and 3 suites is a moodboard of playful textures and dreamy shapes—from sculpted moons suspended above the beds to the wavy wall patterns that echo the island’s undulating landscape. Art and design lovers will recognise standout pieces, such as Anna Alexandra’s handmade masks, which bring poetic energy to the spaces, and Diego Faivre’s colourful playdough stools, adding a sense of lightness and humour. Traditional zelliges ground the interiors in Mediterranean craft, while the hotel’s overall palette and personality remain delightfully unpretentious.

Café Montesol, the hotel’s main restaurant, is a social hub in its own right—warm, convivial, and bursting with local flavour. Headed by Spanish chef Alex Larrea, the kitchen celebrates Ibiza’s seasonal produce with tapas-style dishes designed for sharing. Expect imaginative pairings and bursts of colour, whether you’re sipping small-batch Spanish wines or indulging in a long lunch under the arches.

Above it all, the rooftop cocktail bar offers one of the best views in town.
