Mayfair’s Annabel’s, 2025 Christmas lights
Annabel’s Christmas Facade: London’s Most Magical Holiday Tradition
When Christmas arrives in London, the city lights up with glittering storefronts, decadent trees and festive street scenes but no annual unveiling is awaited quite like the Christmas façade at Annabel’s. Set in the heart of Mayfair, this legendary private members’ club has transformed itself each December into a towering work of art, creating one of the capital’s most photographed and ‘instagrammable’ holiday moments. The façade has become an institution in its own right: a marker that the season has officially begun, and a beacon of luxury, imagination and creative festive spirit.
More than just decoration, Annabel’s approach is rooted in storytelling. Each year brings a new fantasy, a bold architectural illusion crafted to delight, inspire and transport passers-by. Yet behind the spectacle lies something deeper: every festive façade is created in support of The Caring Family Foundation’s “Food from The Heart” initiative, which works year-round to tackle child hunger and food insecurity across the UK and Brazil. Annabel’s Christmas magic, then, is not only beautiful, but purposeful.
The Fluxx take a closer look at the evolution of this modern Mayfair tradition, a chronicle of creativity, glamour and goodwill.

2025: A Narnia-Inspired Winter World
This year, Annabel’s captures the enchantment of The Chronicles of Narnia. Imagine stepping through Mayfair and suddenly finding yourself before a scene of frosted trees, shimmering lights and soft winter mist, a portal into another dimension. The façade feels like the moment Lucy first pushes through the wardrobe doors: stillness, snow and pure wonder.
It’s an installation designed not just to admire, but to experience. From the soaring branches dusted in icy white to the subtle golden glow cast across Berkeley Square, it invites Londoners to pause, dream and step, if only in imagination into a world where magic is real.
As with every year, the installation supports Food from The Heart, turning beauty into meaningful impact. And as the Narnian world returns to our cultural radar, we’ll be adding the film to our festive watchlist. Some classics never lose their spark.
2024: The Snow Globe and the Magical Bird
In 2024, Annabel’s unveiled one of its most ambitious structures to date: a monumental snow globe containing a radiant, larger-than-life magical bird. Designed by Tatiana Kharchylava, Creative Director of The Birley Clubs, the installation was created to evoke “innocence and delight.” And delight it did, sweeping upward over several storeys, glowing from within, and transforming the club’s entrance into a portal of swirling winter fantasy.
Visitors entered through the base of the giant globe, stepping inside the installation itself. Overhead, the gleaming bird arched its wings in a moment of frozen motion, symbolising hope, joy and the lightness of imagination.
2023: The Hot-Air Balloon of Hope
The 2023 façade, also designed by Tatiana Kharchylava, carried a thoughtful message. A giant hot-air balloon, gently illuminated and soaring skyward, became a symbol of optimism and resilience during a turbulent year. The installation reflected the belief that “when we come together, anything is possible” a message that resonated deeply amid global challenges.
With its bold colours, sculptural stitching and floating form, the piece stood as a reminder that creativity can lift us, unite us, and inspire us even in difficult times. It was design as poetry and one of Annabel’s most memorable visual statements.
2022: The Swarovski Gingerbread Dreamscape
In 2022, Annabel’s partnered with Swarovski to transform its façade into a monumental gingerbread house, glistening with thousands of crystals. It was a larger-than-life fantasy: iced-sugar trim, candy-like details and shimmering figurines that sparkled in winter light. The interior of the club continued the spectacle, enveloping guests in a crystallised dreamscape.
This collaboration celebrated togetherness and the rituals that make the season meaningful. It also marked the beginning of the club’s now-signature approach: blending luxury craftsmanship with heartfelt charitable purpose.
More Than Decoration: A Commitment to Giving Back
Annabel’s Christmas façades are works of art but at their core, they’re vehicles for change. Each year’s installation is designed as part of the club’s ongoing support for The Caring Family Foundation’s “Food from The Heart” programme, which focuses on addressing child hunger in the UK and Brazil.
That fusion, design, imagination and philanthropy, is what makes this tradition so extraordinary. The façade may draw the crowds, but the impact reaches far beyond Mayfair.
