An Iconic London view: Inside The Bryanston Penthouse

Living Above London’s Most Iconic View

In a city defined by its views, few addresses command London quite like Hyde Park. From sunrise over the treetops to the glow of the skyline at dusk, living above the capital’s most storied green space is one of the ultimate expressions of urban luxury.

At The Bryanston, this experience reaches its apex in one of London’s most exceptional private residences. Set across the top three floors of this landmark building, The Bryanston Penthouse by Accouter rises 250 feet above street level, making it the highest private residence overlooking Hyde Park. With uninterrupted 360-degree views across the park and city skyline, the penthouse redefines what apartment living in London can be: elevated, immersive and profoundly connected to place.

“The design inspiration behind The Bryanston Penthouse was drawn from the ever-changing Hyde Park, particularly the warmth of autumn, and the synergy between architecture and nature. Every material and texture has been chosen not only for its quality, but for its ability to tell a story.” Rhian Barker, Group Design Director, Accouter.

Architecture at the Highest Level

Designed by the late architect Rafael Viñoly, The Bryanston is home to just 54 private residences, occupying one of the most important corners of Hyde Park. The penthouse itself spans 7,763 square feet, complemented by a further 1,403 square feet of private terrace, offering a rare sense of scale, privacy and light in the heart of the capital.

This is vertical living conceived as a private world in the sky, where outlook, light and proportion shape the experience as much as architecture itself.

The Principal Suite: A Private World Above the Park

Occupying the entire 18th floor, the principal suite spans nearly 3,000 square feet, making it one of the largest and highest private bedroom suites in the West End. Here, uninterrupted views across Hyde Park and the rooftops of London unfold in complete privacy.

Anchoring the space is the Play Bouclé Armchair by award-winning designer Dmitriy Kozinenko, its organic form and tactile finish embodying the penthouse’s quiet, sculptural elegance. Additional bedroom suites continue this natural rhythm, offering soft palettes, refined detailing and a sense of retreat from the city below.

Accouter and the Art of Design-Led Living

The interiors have been conceived by Accouter, the internationally award-winning design studio renowned for its narrative-led approach to luxury residential spaces. Commissioned by Almacantar, Accouter was tasked with crafting a home that balances statement design with sanctuary-like calm.

Their inspiration draws directly from Hyde Park itself, its textures, tones and seasonal shifts translated into a rich yet restrained interior palette. The result is a penthouse that feels both grounded and elevated, contemporary yet timeless.

A Sensory Arrival

From the moment of arrival, the experience is sensory. A bespoke entrance installation featuring soft gold leaf veining by artist Benjamin Raymond sets the tone, leading into suede-lined corridors and maple-toned joinery that subtly echo the warmth of autumnal parkland.

Texture and craftsmanship underpin every space. At the heart of the home, a striking glass installation by Shuster + Moseley rises through the penthouse, framed by a sculptural curved staircase that acts as both architectural anchor and art piece.

Grand Reception Spaces, Designed to Entertain

In the main reception rooms, soaring three-metre ceilings and expansive glazing flood the interiors with natural light, blurring the boundary between inside and out. A five-metre curved sofa, crafted onsite to mirror the building’s architecture, balances a marble fireplace and bespoke joinery, an exercise in proportion, comfort and quiet drama.

The dining space is centred around a custom onyx table and illuminated by a gold-lined Crystalline chandelier by artisan Olivia Faire. Designed for both intimate evenings and formal entertaining, it is a room shaped as much by atmosphere as by function.

A Home Without a Singular Aesthetic

There is no singular aesthetic here. Instead, each space responds intuitively to its context. From the bronze velvet kitchen banquette to bespoke furniture by Simon Cabrol, every element has been selected or commissioned to reflect the individuality of this one-of-a-kind home.

This is design that resists trend in favour of longevity, where materials are chosen for how they feel, age and perform over time.
