Maison Perrier-Jouët X Marcin Rusak’s “Plant Pulses” at Design Miami

At Design Miami 2025, Maison Perrier-Jouët showcases Plant Pulses by Marcin Rusak

A visionary installation powered by plant intelligence, alongside the launch of the inaugural Design for Nature Award, positions Maison Perrier-Jouët at the forefront of sustainable luxury during Miami Art Week, December 1–7, 2025.

Plant Pulses by artist Marcin Rusak allows humans to encounter the hidden signals of plants — transforming biological data into an artistic, sensory experience.

Rooted in an ethos of experimentation and ecological awareness, Rusak’s work enables visitors to perceive, both visually and audibly, the signals emitted by plants. The installation draws on pioneering laboratory research from scientists at the University of Kraków, whose discoveries informed Rusak’s exploration of sensory communication within the natural world. Presented at Faena, the immersive experience continues the maison’s dialogue between art, nature, and technological innovation.

Visitors can also hear Rusak in conversation with Perrier-Jouët Creative Director Axelle de Buffévent at a panel at Design Miami on December 3 at 12pm. Accompanying the installation is a limited-edition design gift pack featuring a bottle of Perrier-Jouët Blanc de Blancs or Belle Époque 2016, paired with exquisitely decorated, nature-inspired flutes in Rusak’s aesthetic of interwoven botanical forms.

Alongside the unveiling of Plant Pulses, Maison Perrier-Jouët will announce the recipient of its inaugural Design for Nature Award with Design Miami. The award advances artistic innovation rooted in environmental responsibility, fostering regenerative design practices and optimistic, future-facing thinking. Each year, it will celebrate a designer whose practice balances sustainability with poetic craftsmanship, with the recipient creating a new work to be showcased in Miami the following year.

For the first edition, Axelle de Buffévent and writer and historian Glenn Adamson, Curatorial Director of Design Miami 2025, will select the honouree, to be revealed on December 3.
