SAATCHI GALLERY: FLOWERS - flora in contemporary art & culture

Flowers have long inspired creatives across cultures — as symbols, muses, and metaphors. Saatchi Gallery’s latest exhibition, FLOWERS – FLORA IN CONTEMPORARY ART & CULTURE, explores the enduring power of flora through a rich and expansive lens.

Spread across two floors and nine gallery spaces, the show presents over 500 artworks and objects — from large-scale installations and original artworks to photography, fashion, and archival pieces. Each of the nine themed sections, including Roots, In Bloom, and Flowers and Fashion, examines a different facet of our relationship with flowers, spanning beauty, science, symbolism, and emotion.

Highlights include Rebecca Louise Law’s immersive installation of 100,000 hand-strung dried flowers and Miguel Chevalier’s mesmerising interactive digital projections. Collaborations with institutions like Marimekko and the Foundation for the Exhibition of Photography add further depth.

The breadth of work on display ensures something for everyone — whether you’re drawn to delicate symbolism, bold visual statements, or floral motifs in design and culture. A lush, sensory celebration of flowers and their continued influence on creativity.

FLOWERS – FLORA IN CONTEMPORARY ART & CULTURE exhibits at the Saatchi Gallery until 5th May 2025. Due to the popularity of this exhibition, pre-booking is strongly advised.
